One by One explores the nature of memories and how we cling to objects that hold them, because we fear losing the moments attached to them.
As you look around the room, you see objects of significance to the character and learn what they mean – but if you look away from an object for too long, it breaks. The game is entirely gaze-based and first-person, which challenged us to draw the player’s attention to main-path objects in unique ways. We used particle filters, light manipulation, and sound to get the player’s attention.
